BeBuNet will receive two new interface languages. At present, a spanish and an italian translator are working on the respective translations. The usage of po-edit takes getting used to if you are used to drag and drop.
With the new translations, we are preparing the site for two of our main user groups. Besides Germany and the U.S., the most represented countries of origin of our users are Italy, Spain and Spanish-speaking countries .
The spanish and italian language version will be online around the 15th of July 2009. We hope to see you then!
After a short period of development, we can finally present you a new feature for premium members of BeBuNet: The Discussion Forum. The structure of the forum is no different to the structure of most forums, therefore, the usage of this forum will be easy for most users.

Our website combines the advantages of a social network with features of a virtual marketplace. People can view profiles of other members or companies and get in touch with them through our internal messaging system. These messages are secured by a 256 bit encrypted SSL connection. Features of the marketplace section are listings of company adresses, products and services. Furthermore our members can use a auction platform to sell or buy their products. With auctions people can sell special goods for example. Purchaser can invite their customers to reverse auctions to get good prices and to simplify the buying process.

It is build with cakephp and a mysql database. The design of the website has been created by the agency metrix in karlsruhe with focus on usability. We build in some unique features like geotargeting with geocoordinates of many registered users. Many thanks to Geonames. An other feature are public company profiles which can be listet in searchengines, backlinks includet.
The strukture of the data in our system is organised with keywords and categories. The categories handle the most important terms in this branche. The keywords are more chaotic and more flexible in the usage. beside searching with keywords or categories we also offer a fulltext search.
Our system is very scalable in the software design so other new features can be easily build in in the future according to the needs of our customers.
