The Team of Beverage Business Network lives up to its promise. As we have announced earlier BeBuNet has a new public link directory now. The directory contains links to websites of our members. Also non members can register a beverage related website for free. The directory can be found in the footer of BeBuNet.

New year, new style
The Beverage Business Network begins the new year with a redesigned welcome page. The new welcome page shows all the advantages and features of BeBuNet at a glance. There is also a new table with an overview of new registered professionals. In the footer of the page a list of new features of BeBuNet which are currently under development can be found.

Improved social network features
We are constantly improve BeBuNet to make it more comfortable and effective for our users. Now we have build in a new menu item called ‘Network’. Here we have placed the forum and address book which has been found in the favorites before. And we have added a new function in the network menu item for finding persons in the system. We hope that members become in contact with this feature more easily.

We are constantly improve BeBuNet with new functions and features. The next feature in sight will be an improved handling of social network functions of BeBuNet. All networking features will be centralized in a new menu item called “Network”. So stay tuned.

The opinion of our members is important for us. Therefor BeBuNet has a feedback form now. We hope it will be used frequently. We are also looking forward to the suggestions to improve BeBuNet, given by our members through the form.

New registration form
The Beverage Business Network has a new registration form. The new form has much less fields and supports a faster registration process for the user. The data of the canceled fields can be supplemented by the user later in the control center.
The fields for the company address in the registration form are still necessary to keep the radius search working.
Beside the new registration form the the lost password function has been revised. Now it is sufficient to order a new password by entering the users email address in the form.

From now on existing and new clients have free access to the Beverage Business Network. You can use all functions from company presentation to auctions with no costs.
Use BeBunet and unlock your company profile in the user settings to make it accessible for the public. In this way your company profile can be found by search engines, too. It’s all for your advantage. You get a free link on your homepage and can easier be found on the internet.

New feature: discussion form
After a short period of development, we can finally present you a new feature for premium members of BeBuNet: The Discussion Forum. The structure of the forum is no different to the structure of most forums, therefore, the usage of this forum will be easy for most users.
We have created three main Forums:

Here you can post events or exhibitions related to the beverage branch. - Exchange & Experiences
Here you can discuss your experiences with other people of the beverage branch.
The fourth forum is reserved for feedback. Here you can post ideas or suggestion on how to improve BeBuNet.

Our website combines the advantages of a social network with features of a virtual marketplace. People can view profiles of other members or companies and get in touch with them through our internal messaging system. These messages are secured by a 256 bit encrypted SSL connection. Features of the marketplace section are listings of company adresses, products and services. Furthermore our members can use a auction platform to sell or buy their products. With auctions people can sell special goods for example. Purchaser can invite their customers to reverse auctions to get good prices and to simplify the buying process.
Beverage Business Network Frontpage
It is build with cakephp and a mysql database. The design of the website has been created by the agency metrix in karlsruhe with focus on usability. We build in some unique features like geotargeting with geocoordinates of many registered users. Many thanks to Geonames. An other feature are public company profiles which can be listet in searchengines, backlinks includet.
The strukture of the data in our system is organised with keywords and categories. The categories handle the most important terms in this branche. The keywords are more chaotic and more flexible in the usage. beside searching with keywords or categories we also offer a fulltext search.
Our system is very scalable in the software design so other new features can be easily build in in the future according to the needs of our customers.
